Antibacterial Activity of Ethanolic Extract of <i>Matricaria chamomilla</i>, <i>Malva cylvestris</i>, and Capsella bursa-pastoris against Multidrug-Resistant <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i> Strains

Background: This study aimed to determine antibacterial activity of ethanolic extract Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile), Malva sylvestris, and Capsella bursa-pastoris against multidrug-resistant (MDR) clinical isolates Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methods: The plants were collected from Ziarat village Gorgan, Iran in April 2019. required parts the separated completely dried shade. After grinding, extraction was performed by maceration method. at 37°C for 24 hours. To obtain a concentration 50 mg/mL each extract, 500 mg plant dissolved 10 mL 5% dimethyl sulfoxide sterilized filtration through 0.45 µm membrane filter. For assay, agar well diffusion broth microdilution methods used. Results: Based on results, extracts M. sylvestris did not show any MDR P. aeruginosa both assays.
